Lessons in Love

To all the married ones, to all the ones who didn´t get married and to the ones who will get married. To those who have just broken up and to those who think of making up.
However the power of money has already conquered a very good position in virtues ranking, love still leads easily.
Everything that everybody wants is to love. To find somebody who makes our hearts beat deeply and justify insanities.
That makes us get in trance, fall on our knees, build castles in the air. That makes us turn our eyes and laugh at anything or sing inside a crowded bus.
Is there any doctor here?
After this mad passion comes to an end, what´s left?
Love.
But a not mystified love, that many people judge as the power to make us climb up to the sky. What remains is the love we all know, the feeling that we have for mother, father, brother or son.
They´re all the same love, but between lovers there´s sex.
There aren´t many types of love, as well as there aren´t 3 types of hate or four types of envy. Love is one, like any other feeling, no matter if it´s for parents, lovers or God.
The only difference is that between husband and wife there´s no blood connection, and the seduction has to be non-stop.
By not having any guarantee of durability, any change in the tone of voice may drive us crazy, and due to so many overcharges we end up killing a relationship which could last forever.
They get married. So many ¿I love you´s¿ here and there¿
It´s pretty but not able to sustain itself. The success in a marriage demands more than just romantic words. Between two people who decided to live in the same house, there must be much more than just love, and sometimes it doesn´t really need such an intense love.
All in all there should be respect, no aggressions and a good will to hear the other´s arguments. Maybe a bit of patience, but only love is not enough. There mustn´t be competition neither comparisons. There must be willpower to keep the rules that were already set before. There must be good humour to face the unexpected things, scarcity excess, and childishness.
Sometimes they have to let it be, because only love is not enough.
There must be intelligence.
A programmed brain to face tensions, rejections, unexpected bills¿
They have to know how to bring up the children, give examples and not to scream. They should be good psychoanalyst sometimes.
Only to love is not enough¿
In a relationship between a couple there must be silence, childhood friends, own life, and sometimes a bit of time to theirselves.
There must be confidence and they must be accomplices, but on the other hand, sometimes they must pretend that didn´t hear each other´s words. It´s necessary to understand that union is not a fusion, and only love is not enough.
Lovers who think that love is only poems, they need to open their eyes and be aware.
They must know that love can be good, and it does can last forever, but alone, it can´t sustain itself. Love is big but it´s not almighty.
It´s necessary to call up an army of other feelings to give support to this love when it feels weak.
Only love may even be enough for ourselves, but it´s not enough for itself. Just don´t forget that willpower and optimism are the best tools to build up anything.
